Parents/Guardians:

As part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, we wanted to provide you with an update on our proactive approach to weather-related disruptions this winter season.
At Polk School District, we understand the importance of being prepared for any weather conditions that may impact our ability to conduct in-person learning. With that in mind, we want you to know that we consistently monitor the weather conditions in our area. In the event of inclement weather that may require us to implement Learn-from-Home days, we want to assure you that we have taken the necessary steps to ensure a smooth transition to remote learning.

To prepare our students for these potential Learn-from-Home days, we have discussed the procedures and expectations with them. We have also made the necessary arrangements to provide learning packets for some grade levels, ensuring that all students have access to educational materials even if online connectivity is temporarily disrupted.
We want to emphasize that while we are being proactive, we will always prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Should weather conditions require a shift to Learn-from-Home days, we will communicate any changes promptly through our established channels, including our website, social media platforms, and automated calling system.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these weather-related challenges. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's school or the district office. Together, we will continue to provide a safe and quality education for our students.

Thank you for your continued partnership.
